Management Skills and Technical Expertise

An essential part of DAENG project team coordination system is the company’s project managers who are continuously in charge of project flow of work. It is each individual project manager responsibility to ensure each project time and budgetary targets, coordinate scheduling, select design team and consultants, allocate resources, and submit complete project package.

DAENG management approach for individual projects is proven to be successful because it involves principles, senior engineers and consultants from project initial start through completion of design documents and into the construction phase.

At project start, the project manager is the primary point of contact with the client to obtain a clear understanding of the design needs including budgets and time schedules and ensure client satisfaction.

DAENG management and quality control process is designed to assure that each project receives the heights quality of workmanship and is done on time and within budget:

  • Project manager meets with owner/end user to discus scope of work and all requirements.
  • Project manager schedules a kick-off meeting with design team to explain project scope and requirements and schedule each discipline’s responsibilities.
  • Project manager attends meetings to review job progress and to ascertain that all of the client’s requirements and subsequent changes to the scope have been incorporated into the design and also makes certain that all disciplines are adhering to time and budget requirements.
  • Project manager coordinates with all disciplines before each submission to ensure that the client receives well organized complete, accurate and fully coordinated construction contract documents.
  • Quality Control process starts at schematic design, and the design team incorporates quality control into the design intent documents.
  • The Design Development phase is essential to ensure that all major mechanical, electrical, and plumbing components are well planned and coordinated for functionality and maintainability. At this stage, the systems are discussed with the owner to obtain feed back and comments.
  • The Quality control procedures continue through all various Construction Documents design phases. The design engineers submit their design to the discipline senior engineer for review and mark ups. Prior to final submission, the entire project team including the project manager meets collectively to review and coordinate drawings specifications, and project specific requirements.
